As we discuss how to best reduce gun violence, we often hear, “Why aren’t we fully prosecuting laws already on the books?” This program will provide insight into the differing levels of gun-related violations and where and how decisions are made as to enforcement and prosecution of gun-related crimes so we can understand the role this is playing in the larger gun violence picture. Our speaker will be Jonathan Long, an attorney with Buckley, Brion, McGuire and Morris, who is a former assistant district attorney. A representative from the Westtown East Goshen Regional Police Department will also be on hand to answer questions about the enforcement of gun laws.
